Regional Building Group is an architectural design practice that works to integrate residential and interior architecture with the environment. RBG’s work is characterized by an attention to regionalism as a spatial, pragmatic, and aesthetic connection with nature.

RBG was founded by Ryan McCaffrey. He studied architecture at China Academy of Art (M.Arch II), Rhode Island School of Design (B.Arch), and McGill University. From 2013-19, Ryan worked under Pritzker Prize-winning architect Wang Shu at Amateur Architecture Studio in Hangzhou, China.

Alongside practice, Ryan teaches and lectures on regionalism in architecture. He is currently a faculty member at RISD Architecture (profile).
