The interior kitchen and dining area of this house were completely remodeled with several key structural modifications in order to take advantage of southern sun exposure and views towards a nearby lake. New beams were introduced to remove walls which closed off the space, and large windows and doors were installed to connect the rooms with the landscape. In the kitchen new cabinets, lights, appliances were installed, as well as two skylights and a kitchen island. The new structural systems are integrated seamlessly in order to create a continuous space which is fully integrated with the existing conditions of the house.
